|Emmys: Bob Bain to produce Creative Arts ceremonies and nominations announcement Jun 2nd 2017, 00:30, by Paul Sheehan
Bob Bain will be back to produce the Creative Arts portion of the Emmys for the third year in a row. There are so many categories at these kudos that they are handed out in two separate ceremonies. This year, those will take place on Saturday, September 9, and Sunday, September 10 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The Emmys will take place at the same venue on the following Sunday.
Bain will also oversee the announcement of the nominations on July 13. The big reveal will take place beginning at 8:30 am PT/11:30 am ET at the TV Academy’s new venue, the Wolf Theater at the Saban Media Center in North Hollywood and will stream on the Emmy website.
In confirming Bain’s return, TV Academy chair Hayma Washington said, “Bob and his team worked with the Television Academy to strategize and implement the very successful split of last year’s Creative Arts Awards into two ceremonies,” said “We are thrilled to be working with him and his team again on a weekend of shows that are as captivating as the dynamic television industry we are honoring.”
Bob Bain Productions oversees some of the industry’s most popular events including the “Teen Choice Awards,” “Kids Choice Awards,” “Billboard Music Awards,” “Critics’ Choice Awards” and the “Miss America Pageant.”
